Ellevate is a platform for young and aspiring footballers to promote themselves, interact with like-minded players and potentially get scouted. As part of the team at hedgehog lab, I was involved in creating the product name, brand and app design. The brand is intended to feel energised and uplifting (elevated).

Problem

Ellevate was founded on a bold vision to empower aspiring players worldwide with the necessary tools and visibility to reach their full potential.

Highlighted the untapped potential of talented players worldwide. Ellevate’s mission was to create a global platform that gives all aspiring players a chance to shine resulted in the development of an innovative and exciting football training app, poised to revolutionise the way players improve their skills and reach the global football scouting network.

Approach

Our UXR team conducted research into market competitors, and interviewed football scouts and players to create personas and surveys so we better understood the landscape. We identified how each group would benefit from a product like Ellevate and the findings helped guide and form the product vision.
The idea around the brand name was to use the platform to elevate and highlight the player’s skills and get them noticed. The primary brand is a simple typographic treatment that highlights the number 11. This is intended to communicate the concept of elevating oneself to the first team starting 11.
Ellevate has grown from strength to strength over the years. Their Pros now include the likes of Manchester City’s Phil Foden and Jack Grealish as well as Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, to name but a few.

What did we achieve?

→ Placed several young players at Premier League clubs through the Ellevate platform.

→ 4.4 review on apple store and Google Play Store.

→ Over 80,000 Downloads across both platforms
